BODY CLIPPING
Body clipping is sometimes necessary for horses due to performance and health conditions. Primarily, Kara Klips offers clipping services during the winter months for horses that work up a sweat either showing or training year round. The clipping services provided are tailored to meet the needs for each individual horse. Kara will never preform work just to "up-charge" any client but is dedicated to making sure each horse is getting the appropriate service based on workload and/or heath conditions.

MOST POPULAR PATTERNS
FULL BODY CLIP
$125
The traditional full body clip removes hair from the entire body, including the face and legs.
Ideal for horses that are stalled and blanketed during the winter months in very heavy work or are showing.
If the client is pony-sized or has Cushing's Disease please include this in your inquiries or reservation.
TRACE CLIP

The trace clip was named after a common style for logging horses as the hair is removed from the areas of the body that would sweat under the harness and traces. Hair is removed starting from the throat latch, down the neck & chest, barrel, underline and haunches.
Ideal for horses kept outside in the winter months and can be suitable for any level of work.
The traditional version is pictured but high and low trace clips are two variations.
IRISH CLIP

A winter favorite! The Irish clip removes hair from most of the neck, and completely removes hair from the chest, partial barrel, and underline. It has a very sharp and simple look to it while serving the purpose of reducing sweat.
Suitable for horses with shorter hair, or horses with a normal winter coat in light to moderate work load.
BLANKET CLIP

This style is solely meant to remove almost all body hair except for the back in order to keep this area "warmed up", like a warm-up rug or Quarter Sheet. Not a popular style but is midway between a full body clip and a trace clip.
Suitable for horses in very heavy to moderate work loads.
